I’ve decided to do a photo-a-day project. This is to make me bring my camera everywhere and to keep up my motivation levels, which have quite lately been lacking. I’ll update this post every day (if I can remember to!) with the photos. If I enjoy it, I’ll try and do it for the whole of next year!

Matt and I had a busy train ride back to Falmouth this afternoon! Luckily we found some seats and squished in for the journey. Back in time for the 80’s party tonight at uni!

Quiet day tonight! Went to the 80’s party last night at uni, it was so much fun. Now back to doing my work! I actually do quite enjoy doing sketchbook and research work for my projects. Also, how cute are these stamps?! I love using them to title my work, they make it look so fab.

Another quiet day today, met Hannah and got fresh pasties for lunch and ate them in the sunshine! We then had a lecture and went in to town to get a various things.

This evening, Matt and I went in to town to go for dinner at the Meat Counter, the best burger place in Falmouth – we are both incredibly stuffed at the moment!

Busy day today! Been at Matt’s and in the library doing work for most of today, then went with Ali to a meeting about the University’s magazine which we want to be a part of. Productive day! Today, Hannah and I visited Perranporth, which took forever to get to by bus! It was really fun with very cold winds but warm bursts of sun so we were repeatedly removing coat and scarves and putting them back on again. We saw so many dogs!!!

Completely finished taking down the set today! Been very tiring and stressful but I think I’ve come out the other side better. I’ve stayed at Matt’s as it’s closer (9am-9pm days plus travelling back to mine = even more tiring!) and here’s the view from his flat on campus, I miss it, my view was the same but from two blocks down, last year!

Today my family came down to visit me for the day! We had an amazing lunch, a walk to the beach, and a mooch round the town. This is my little sister!

Spent most of today writing my critical review for my recent project! It’s finally done though, yay! Tonight Matt and I are off to Bastille and we’re sooo excited. Sooo it’s been an interesting 24 hours. I happened to collapse due to heat exhaustion at last night’s concert – twice – and so missed most of Bastille’s performance 😦 I’m okay now though, just sad to have missed loads! MASSIVE thank you to my boyfriend Matt who, with the help of a nurse who just happened to be there when I went down, carried me out through the crowd to safety. We came back to Falmouth this evening, and the roads were so empty. Deadline tomorrow, ahh!

This evening, Ali, Hannah and I went to a pop up arts fair that’s hosted in Toast each month. I got a beautiful watercolour print, Ali got a cute postcard, and Hannah got a tiny cactus that she’s named Percy! The height difference between the two of them is astonishing.

It’s been a busy/groggy last few days trying to complete this damn essay! I’m doing it on how photographs are often seen as more authentic compared to other types of artwork, such as paintings, due to historical beliefs and concepts. Here’s my photo for yesterday, today, and possibly tomorrow, depending on how cooperative my brain decides to be. I only just got home half an hour ago, at about half past 11, from being in the library for nearly 5 hours with hannah, after a 2 hour lecture. Busy busy busy. Can’t wait until it’s done. So here’s about half of the books I’ve currently got on loan from the library, with a well deserved/needed cup of tea.

Sorry for being MIA again! Been feeling a bit under the weather. Spend all of Friday at uni, handing in that dreaded essay then preparing our exhibition for our studio project, then all of Saturday napping on the sofa with Beth while watching films. Another gloomy day today, didn’t get out of bed until about 6pm. Been feeling so rotten. Booked Matt and I tickets to go to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them tomorrow evening, so excited for that!

Today was Ali’s 21st birthday! We went out for lunch at a cute little new place I’d never heard of, the name of which I’ve already forgotten. He especially loved the card I gave him, which reads ‘hoebag’ on the front and has a large quote from Miranda Priestly of The Devil Wears Prada in it. It was a very chilly day and I saw many dogs so it was good, in summary.

Hello December, old friend. Chilly day again today, in tutorials and spending the afternoon with matt, both of us doing our work. Not much else happened! A week tomorrow I’m going home for Christmas, yay! Getting the bus home in the dark is spooky yet eerily pretty.
